2009- D Formative Years Brilliant Uncirculated Pennies! FIVE (5) Unopened, Unsearched Denver Mint Rolls!!! This auction is for 5 Rolls of 2009-D Lincoln "Formative Years in Indiana" Pennies in the wrapper featuring Abraham Lincoln reading a book on the obverse, and the familiar Lincoln bust on the reverse. Many consider the "Formative Years" Penny to be the most attractive and interesting of all the new designs, and demand will undoubtedly be very brisk. The subtext of the design is that Lincoln was a self-educated man who took reading very seriously, and obviously was not above goofing off on the job when he worked as a rail-splitter in Indiana. Because of the 4 new designs coming out in 2009 the U.S. Mint has limited capacity to produce any one design. As a consequence they are not producing enough to meet demand, and Uncirculated examples are hard to find. Of course if you are east of the Mississippi you probably will not find Denver Mint pennies at all. I take great pride in my 100% feedback and 4.9+ seller rating.
