This 1996 Flambro Emmett Kelly Jr. is a limited edition, #2770 of 5000. It is mint in its box and has the Certificate of Authenticity, as well as the hang tag. In this rendering of the master clown he is accompanied by two raffish looking dogs. With his bindle at his feet, he is leaning forward, hands clasped behind his back, gazing at a Circus poster pasted on a board fence. His attention seems to be pensively focused on a picture advertising 4 wild cannibals from Fugi. The four "diners" are shown gathered around a big black pot over a fire containing a hapless man wearing a pith helmet. EKJ is dressed in his typical raggedy attire which is rich in detail. The figurine sits on an oval wood stand, which has a brass plate in front. It reads "Celebrating 125th Anniversary, American Circus Extravaganza". This sale will benefit our local Hospice. They have a booth here in our mall where they sell the nicer things that people donate. Be sure to visit our GoAntiques site to see the other items we have for sale for this beloved charity.
