Very rare floormounted Anglepoise Lamp This is a fabulous and very, very early floor mounted Anglepoise trolley lamp.This is the first series of this design, dating from the late 30's to late 40's. It has quite a few differences to later floor mounted models - the biggest difference being on the 4 legged base. The very first models such as this one have very narrow section rubber casters/wheels, whereas the later models had slightly wider and smaller wheels, and the base section itself is a slightly different shape than later models.The lamp and shade are in very good original condition being finished in its original wrinkle finished black paint. The main components of the lamp are made of steel and make the lamp very heavy and robust. The shade is aluminium & even comes with its original Crabtree bakelite bulb holder which is in good working order. The lamp also has its original springs which show some signs of age, but I feel do not detract from the overall appearance of the lamp. In fact I have deliberately left this lamp as original as possible as it has a lovely patina about it and in this condition are hard to find.The lamp stands approximately 190cm tall and has been completely rewired so you can use it straight away.If needed I can supply the lamp for any type of national electrical standards, ie: USA 110 volts or European read more
