FLORENCE CERAMICS PASADENA CALIFORNIA FIGURINE "VIVIAN" ANTIQUE VINTAGE RETRO ..THIS IDENTICAL ONE SOLD ON EBAY FOR $259 A SHORT TIME AGO ..STARTING BID IS FANTASTIC! ..Florence Ward made some of the finest figurines ever, in California from 1940-62. The clay figures were tripled fired to achieve a harder finished product. Royal Doulton comes to mind when we think of figurines, but this figure was executed in the United States... "Vivian" a lovely, elegant woman holding a parasol above her head and she is dressed in a salmon colored outfit with a great detailed bow around her neck. If you have never seen any of Ms. Ward's work you will be quite surprised. This figure is free of chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Look at the hem of the dress - you will barely see white specks missed when salmon glaze was applied. No detraction - you have to really look close to see ..this figurine is exquisite. This is about 9 1/2" tall. Insurance is included in shipping. Please ask questions prior to bidding. That will be good for you and for us. Our term of sale policy is as follows: Investigate item before bidding and do not bid if in doubt..Gross neglect on our part in describing must be apparent for us to allow for a return. Last minute questions may not reach us so ask them well in advance. We will not refund shipping for any reason. In the case of damaged or lost items, we will be happy to start the insurance claim paper work but will not be responsible for working with the post office on the other end or the outcome of that claim. If you want them to go priority International they are covered but usually not for the full purchase price and you must add insurance for damage or loss - we will not be liable for any part of what is not covered by insurance. If you want us to send them 1st Class International we have found there is no insurance coverage and if the package is lost or damaged it will be your loss and not ours. I do urge you to add the expense of insurance to these since we will not refund money for lost or damaged packages.
