Florence Knoll 3 Piece Vanity Dresser Set

This three piece suspended vanity set was produced by Knoll from 1960-1973. It is classic Florence Knoll styling with clean, well defined lines. It is walnut veneer with white laminated top and back side, making fully finished on all sides. The white laminate create rich contrast to the walnut veneers. The end panels are in walnut. The center vanity has a clean hanging style with single drawer. The vanity hangs by flat bars that slide into adjoining chests.
The drawers have polished metal pulls, classic Knoll styling. The chest drawers have metal slider tracks plus a novel internal metal arms that also guide and secure the drawers, although one chest is missing 2 of the 3 internal arms. The overall measurement of the set is 100" x 29 1/2" tall and 19 1/2" deep. The chests each measure 36" x 29 1/2" x 19 1/2". Condition: The walnut veneers have been cleaned up and oiled. The drawer of the vanity has a veneer chip on lower corner which has been wax filled. One chest has a chip to the white laminate edge molding, see photos. Overall condition is very good. Legs are tight and white laminate is clean. The end panels of the chests (facing the vanity) have uneven finish and patina so that the center vantiy should always be positioned as in the photos. The two chest could be used without the hanging vanity but they would need to be positioned butted together. Shipping or pickup location is Silver Spring, Md. 20903 (suburban Washington DC).
