This HONEY of a LUCiTE HANDBAG is circa 1940's / 1950's - fresh from an affluent multi - generational estate we are currently in the process of liquidating. GUARANTEED to be OLD, authentic and as represented. It features a wonderful geometric shape, thick clear lucite lid with a TREMENDOUS reverse carved floral pattern, pearlized white picnic swing down handles, gold tone stylized Art Deco turn clasp, four little feet along with the original " FLORiDA HANDBAGS , Made in Miami " tag. The body is a FABULOUS unusual translucent lucite...the color resembles ICE or " Clambroth " for those familiar with Depression Era glassware / kitchenware. In excellent vintage condition with light expected wear this measures approx. 9" wide across the front, 3 3/4" across the sides by 3 1/4" high not incl. the handles. It's free from chips, cracks, crazing, warping or odors. The interior shows a few tiny cosmetic marks however we will leave cleaning to more qualified hands. The lid lines up straight, the clasp works perfectly and the hinge is secure. The reverse and underside are slightly clouded which isn't overly apparent with the finish. Overall as you can see it's still presents MAGNiFiCENTLY ! This was found with a 1956 US penny inside which we have left and will include for GOOD LUCK : ) A beautiful one-of-a-kind example for any lucite / bakelite or plastics collection offered with a VERY modest starting bid and NO RESERVE !!! We ALWAYS LiST TO SELL !!! This is pictured with a DiViNE signed RiALTO lucite bag also currently listed. Both purses are from the home of a 96 year old woman who's late husband was an attorney , as was his father before him. The house is truly FULL of great stuff ! We will not run anything if it needs our apologies.....those items will end up at our local Saturday night auction w ( by the look of E-bay these day's ) , someone else will buy them and probably run them on e-bay :o ) Having been in the estate liquidation business full time for 28 years , we have always had our first pick , so t will be some surprises......Stay tuned and check back often . Please , on a personal note , don't give my wife a hard time ( as she has a heart of gold ) and IS NOT an E-bay slave . You'll find I'm tough , cantankerous , straight forward , occasionally funny , politically correct only by accident and always fair . My wife is laughing at me cuz she say's I may not be able to spell cantankerous but I sure can act it ! : ) Try to remember at the end of the day it's all JUST STUFF and IT IS WHAT IT IS .
