Hi, I'm Hew. I have enjoyed collecting flow blue, polychrome and transferware since 1970. Alas, it is now necessary for me to simplify life, downsize and make a portion of my collection available to others. I have also placed several pieces in my antique shop booth. My first preference is to sell to my fellow eBayers, so please let me know ASAP if I need to retrieve this piece for you. Cheers! This is a beautiful and venerable oriental floral scene polychrome flow blue/mulberryware genre transfer Staffordshire stoneware dinner plate by Ridgway, Morley and Wear pottery, c 1836-1842. This plate is 10 3/8" in diameter. The rim is subtly scalloped. The marvelous pattern is 'FLORAL'. This plate combines underglaze flowing cobalt blue, a mulberryware transfer and polychroming in colors of reddish pink, burnt orange, green and peach. The effect is beautiful. On the reverse is the printed potter's mark, including the pattern name and the initials W. R. M. & Co. This substantial plate is in wonderful condition, free of crazing, cracks, chips, flakes and repairs, with minor loss of polychroming and a few mild utensil marks. The plate exhibits a healthy and solid ring when tapped. This plate would pair beautifully with my listed plate, Item number: 280075959239. I have found this piece to be especially versatile and to display nicely. In
