RARE!! RARE!! RARE!! THIS MAY BE ONE OF A KIND!!! This is a large, 9" wide, lovely flow blue bowl that must have been a gift premium or given as an award. In the center of the bowl is written: "COOPERATIVE WHOLESALE SOCIETY LIMITED". T is an insignia in the center which looks like a bundle of wheat (perhaps), a banner around that, a shovel on the left and a scythe on the right. T is lettering on the banner but I am unable to read those words. This sturdy bowl measures 9" across and is 4" high on a short pedestal base. The color is very deep cobalt blue and t is a wide border on both the inside and outside upper rim. The inside of the bowl also has a beautiful continuance of the border design - branches and large leaves - flowing onto the bowl sides. The outside has these leaves and boughs. T is no maker's mark but t is the number 14 in flow blue on the base. The color on this piece is outstanding. T are utensil marks in the center of the bowl and t is a flat chip on the base bottom as shown in the photo. This chip is not at all deep and I believe it has been lightly patched. T is wear on the base bottom that would be appropriate for a piece this age.
