Pale Pink Calcite ('Poker chip' Habit) - Location: Yao Guang Xi¸ Hunan Province¸ China. Cabinet. we have an interesting specimen from China. We have a matrix specimen with numerous nice platy pale pink colored calcite crystals. The calcite crystals are well formed and sharp and display the stacked plate or 'poker chip' habit. The crystals are translucent and are a nice pale pinkish color. The calcite will fluoresce a magenta (pinkish-red) color under short wave ultraviolet light and a more reddish orange color under long wave ultraviolet light. (see photos).
