This piece of uranium ore weighs 34.1g (1.20oz) . This piece displays a bright fluorescent green glow when viewed under either a shortwave or longwave UV lamp. The second fluorescent photo was taken using a longwave UV lamp.On my Geiger counter using a JAN 5979 tube (in a DT-613A probe), I measured 100 CPM with the beta shield closed and 150 CPM with the shield open on the most active surface. I gathered this piece from the ground near the Incline #9 Mine in Emery County, Utah.
