FLY BOAC" AIRLINE ASHTRAY MADE BY COPELAND SPODE

Up for bid is avintage TEAL BLUE ashtray made by COPELAND SPODE of England. The top of the ashtray reads "FLY BOAC" which is the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) logo. Also, t is a map of the flight paths flown by the international airline during the years of 1930-1950.

This beautiful ashtray is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. Diameter of the ashtray is approximately 6 inches and the height is approximately 2 inches.

The British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) was the British state airline from 1939 until 1946 and the long-haul British state airline from 1946. From the 1930s until November 1950, BOAC operated flying boat services from Southampton to colonial possessions in Africa and Asia. BOAC also operated the Handley Page HP42 airliner for service through Europe and the Empire routes to India and South Africa.
