This is the rare Flying Saucer Bank, circa 1956 by Duro Mold and Manufacturing, Detroit , MI . This is a very cool looking spaceship bank in very good condition. The plastic bubble is intact. The mechanical mechanism works well (the coin shoots around the inside of the saucer before being deposited in the base below). The label (Ben Franklin Federal Savings and Loan Ass'n) is almost perfect. T are a few small wear spots, but overall it is a very nice example of this hard-to-find bank. It has been in my collection for a number of years. With trap and key. Some very cool banks in the space theme were produced by the Duro Mold company during the 50's and 60's and are highly collectible these days. They were given away or sold at low cost by various financial institutions. Please email with any questions.
