This is a vintage original Flying Tiger post AVG blood chit. this blood chit is made from silk with a what looks to be cotton backing and looks to be painted with stamped marks also. It has the number 983 also stamped on the left bottom side. It has thread hanging from the edges as my uncle had the chit sewn in his jacket. My uncle has had this blood chit since 1940 and i have always seen these patches and chit in a frame for the last 50 years. My uncle told me he was given the blood chit about 1940 by one of the officers that had them made after the AVG boys had gone and the Air Force had taken over . This blood chit is about 8 1/4" by 10 1/4". This blood chit is in good condition but does have some yellowing and brown marks. I am selling this piece of history because i am not a flying tiger buff, I collect old western items and would like to see these flying tiger items go to someone that would appreciate them more. My uncle and father have passed away and i have tried to tell the story of these items as they have written them down and was told to me by them.
