Here is a Folbot Greenland 11, two person ocean Kayak up for auction! This Kayak was just serviced at the Folbot Factory after being stored in my dry basement for the last few years.
I sent it to them to make sure all is well and ship-shape for the next lucky owner! I don't remember the exact date of purchase, but we bought it new from Folbot in the early 2000's. Folbot still makes this model and sells it starting at $2,695.00 Here is the link to Greenlands specs and more info: /kayaks/greenland_ii/ It is in great 'working' shape, all parts included, and has the optional rudder kit as well as spray-skirts. Also included are 2 'dry bags', one for the bow and one for the stern used for additional floatation as well as keeping stuff dry and a Folbot bailer pump. The 'skin' hasn't had to be patched although there are several small 'rub' holes in the upper blue canvas which doesn't effect the water-tightness' of the craft as well as a few small holes in the two travel canvas bags. Unique feature of Folbot's is the 'air-bladder' which surrounds the boat at the water-line. This, when blown up fully makes the boat sink proof and also adds to this boat being very sea worthy. When pictures were taken, bladders were not fully inflated. All info and instructions sent with the boat originally is included as well as patch material etc. We have enjoyed using it on a few epic trips to Alaska, Tahiti, Sea of Cortez and locally. Best part of traveling with this kayak is it's allowed on the airlines and puts together quickly. Nothing better than exploring a vacation spot by self-powered boat! We did many memorable day trips fishing, snorkeling, picknicing..etc. Boat will be pack in Folbot boxes from the factory and shipping will be $110.00 via UPS to the lower 48. Haven't tried to remove so I don't know if they will come out but I would assume so. There is canvas patching material as well as 'rubber skin' material for patching included with instructions etc.
