Limited Edition & Original Design Folk Art Weather Vane Rooster Primitive Barn 17" high x 8" wide x 7" deep Materials: This birdhouse is constructed of 1/2" exterior grade rustic plywood. I have used top of the line exterior paints and have also applied an antique glazing to darken up the hand-hewn and worn corners. (No two birdhouse are alike.) The Rooster Weather Vane is a design from the 1800's. I have this lasered for my studio only and I rust them to the correct patina to blend with the overall design. I use actual cut nails for perches. Construction: This entire birdhouse is constructed with nails and screws. I sand and hand-hewn the edges to create and authentic, unique and one-of-a-kind look to each birdhouse. (No two birdhouses are alike.) Birdhouse Care: If the birdhouse is displayed indoors it can be kept cleaned by using a slightly damp cloth and or dusted. Please no abrasive chemicals. If the birdhouse is displayed in your garden it is ready to go. T is a couple coats of finish on the birdhouse already, but I am often asked would it hurt to put a clearcoat over the top. The answer is it can only help the longevity. Any natural wood product will degrade over time. This does make the birdhouse even more unique because of the additional real time wear.
