This is a wooden carved elephant shelf, or went on a house. It has several coats of paint on it. I can see gold brown, white. The white is flaking off, and some of the brown. It is dirty, and has a lot of cobb webbs in side of it. It is very weathered. The top shelf part is 16 1/4 inches long, and the length is 14 inches. It has a lot of design but is covered in paint. I went to an auction and bought it. There where many high end items, it was crazy what these people had. Im listing a few of the items today. I dont know what it is but it is very unusual . There where hinges on the back at one time. It is in 3 pieces, back board, top shelf, and the elephant carved on the front. There are square nails on the top of the shelf. Please look at my other items, email with any questions. Thank-you Im saying african, could be from the victorian period.
