Up for auction is a new FOLKART VALENTINE PENNY RUG ~Candle Mat. I have handmade this candle mat from felt and woolfelt. The Candle Mat measures 12" in diameter at its widest point. It has been blanket stitched around the black felt double layered mat and also blanket stitched around each piece that makes up the wool felt hearts. I have scalloped the edge on the black mat. I have used cream quilting thread around the cream colored hearts and red quilting thread around each red heart. The threads used to sew on the hearts do not show through on the back side of the candle mat. The candle is not for sale. It is for display purposes only.
