Folmer & Schwing KODAK 3A GRAFLEX CAMERA with Heliar Lens + Leather Case KODAK GRAFLEX CAMERA - Model 3A Vintage Camera with Leather Case Folding Bed REFLEX CAMERA Folmer & Schwing was purchased by George Eastman in 1905. By 1907 it became a division of Eastman Kodak, in Rochester, New York. The Graflex 3A was manufactured from 1907 to 1926; this is an early one, before the 1915 model that added an autographic feature allowing writing on the negative. The camera has a foldout hood for the viewfinder in a compartment under the handle. The hood is leather and had some soft material edging it that was laced on; this material has come off in various places and the hood is worn or torn along its top edge. The viewfinder is dirty, but otherwise fine. The lens is marked: Voigtlander & Sohn Braunschweig No 99229 - HELIAR 18 cm 1:45 D.R.P 124934. The wooden mounting lens board measures about 3.25 inches square. The lens is fixed in place with screws to the lens board. The Heliar lens has a damaged aluminum ring on the front with aperture numbers on it, with cut out areas so that the lens fits between the rails, allowing the proper closure. The ring turns but does not seem to effect any change. This is NOT an original lens. The bellows appear in good shape. Not light tested.
