This is the origins of college football and Amos Alonso Stagg featured inside of a complete 1924 issue of LITERARY DIGEST Magazine!!! This issue includes the article "Who Started All This Football, Anyway?" Nice 5–page article! Nice Photos! One shows TED COY’S 1909 YALE CHAMPIONSHP TEAM vs ARMY… There’s a team photo of an early YALE TEAM that includes A.A. STAGG, LEE McCLUNG, PA CORBIN, W.T. BULL, and PUDGE HEFFELFINGER… The article is great analysis of the modern birth of football springing from rugby, as well as the elements that come from ancient times and cultures… This is a wonderful time capsule. It is in fine condition typical vintage corner and edge wear. It's not mint, but fairly gently read and a tough find!!! A great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you!
