X-FORCE #64 ORIGINAL COLOR GUIDE ART (22 PAGES) Features Cable, Sunspot and Caliban along with S.H.I.E.L.D. These are the actual, and only, hand-colored color guide pages used to produce this published issue. From Mar 1997 with Anthony Castrillo artwork. Comes with a copy of the published comic. Below are larger sample scans from the 22 pages included in this auction. Beware of sellers offering comic production pages that are actually from foreign reprints or masterworks. My color guides are 100% from the original printed comics (unless otherwise clearly stated). What is Color Guide Art ? Just like their original art counterpart color guides are a unique, one-of-a-kind, item and a key part in the production process of a comic. Color guides are a copy of the original art that are hand painted or colored by the colorist. The comic artist sometimes adds handwritten notes for changes to be made to mood or tone, which shows how the finished comic artwork evolved through production. This color guide is then used for the computerized color separations. Some pieces will have color "codes" written on them to depict the actual color used for that part of the page or notes from the colorist to the separators.
