This is a 1985 Ford Escort 1.6i Cabriolet in excellent working order. It has never been welded and has been fully rebuilt underneath with all new suspension and steering components, brake disks and pads, genuine Ford brake lines, poly bushes and fully wax oiled. It is as new underneath. It has done 118,000 miles. The last owner had it 4 years and he bought it from his friend when he emigrated after owning it for 8 years. Both were Ford enthusiasts and looked after the car accordingly. The engine has been regularly serviced, maintained regardless of cost and is also in perfect working order. It has had lots of new parts including battery, head gasket and skim, cam belt and water pump. The exhaust valves, stem seals, rocker arms, pedestals and hydraulic cam followers have also been replaced. New genuine Ford clutch, radiator, starter motor exhaust and manifold. The manifold has been wrapped to keep heat out of the starter motor and alternator as this can cause starting issues. It has 5 refurbished cloverleaf alloys with nearly new matching Goodyear tyres. The interior is in excellent condition apart from some cracks on the top of the dash. The seats have no rips or burns. It has a new mohair roof with heated glass rear window and a tonneau cover.
