Wehave for your viewing and bidding pleasure 2 FORD script items. Thefirst is a coil box off of an antique FORD vehicle. The box has 4 wood coils. The back of the box is wood. The sides and front are metal. This metal has an aged rusty rather pitted patina. On the front of this metal box there is a metal switch. It moves from the 6 o'clock position off to the left about 1/2” and also moves off to the right about 1/2”. In the left position at the lower part it is stamped MAG and to the right position it is stamped BAT.. Above the center area of the switch it is stamped with the name FORD in script writing and below that is MADE IN U.S.A.. On the top of the wood coils there are 3 metal flat areas. The one coil is missing this metal strip. The brass metal strip has the name FORD in script writing stamped on it. On the back of the unit there are 4 holes for what we believe were used for attaching the unit to the firewall on the vehicle. It appears originally there was also a cover for the box as on each side of the unit there are 2 enclosure snaps. Measuring at the front it is 8 5/8” long by 4” wide and 5 7/8” high to the top of the wood coils. The unit weighs over 9 ½ lbs.. We do not know the exact vehicle that the unit came off of. We would guess maybe a very early 1900's FORD car or truck such as a Model T. The next item is an enamel porcelain sign with the name FORD in script writing in the center. Also on the sign in 1” white block letters it states GENUINE PARTS. All the lettering and 1/8” wide striping are in white on a dark blue background. The sign is oval in shape and measures 11 3/4” across the center area and is 7 1/2” high across the center area. There are 2 mounting holes, one on each side. The enamel porcelain has been shattered around the mounting holes and has rusted where this has occurred. The sign shows wear, rubbing and scratching with some light soiling on the back side. We are listing these 2 FORD items at a no reserve selling price. So,thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
