Hi, this ones hard to part with, so hopefully it will find a good home. This emergency utility light was manufactured by the 8 in 1 Light Company, Providence R.I. I honestly don't know when this light was made, but was told by some reliable auto enthusiasts most likely between 1910-1920. The lights base is a heavy magnet to secure it to the car. The bulb is encased in a metal frame exposing the clear light on one side and the other side is enclosed by a RED glass cover turning the bulb red, {I assume for emergencies}. T are two 10 foot wires with alligator clips on the ends to connect to the battery for its power source. Light uses a standard auto bulb. The condition of the light is good, t is no structural damage to the base or frame, t is some rust on it {left on for character} but no cancer on the metal. The 2 wires are the old school clothe covered wire, t is some wear on the wires but no breaks or tape. Last but not least is the best thing about this is it still works like a CHAMP! P.S t are two little screws that hold the frame in place, and that loosen to change the bulb. This really is a very cool little peice of the early auto era! Light is 4 inches high, and 2 1/2 inches wide.
