One very beautiful sofa in a Forest green, that feels to be a wool blend. T are no markings on this sofa, so I spent a lot of time trying to find out if this sofa is a real Eames designed Sofa Compact or not. Because it is not marked. I got in touch with Herman Miller, emailing them many photos, and they said yes it's theirs. I also have a friend that has a Sofa Compact, theirs had the Herman Miller lable. This sofa is made the same way, right down to the same feet, is the same as my friends. The only item, it's missing a cross bar, on the underside in the middle. This sofa came from an advertising firm and the owner was retiring, he could not remember when he bought it... so my guess is that it's an older style one, maybe 30 plus years old. The sofa is very comfy and the last owner just had it reupholstered about six months ago, so t are no stains, holes or any real signs of wear. It stands about 72 inches long x 31 inches wide and 35 inches high, seating is 16 inches from the ground. In great condition, the only item(s) is that the two end bars for the bottom cushion's end (you fold it under) do not have the screws at the ends to hold it to the frame...I think the upholster forgot to put them back in. Also the upholster did not pull the fabric all the way down to the underside of the bottom back rest, t are staples going across the back and I feel the upholster did not put the top backrest back on right, that's why t is that open space between the two. These are very, very, minor when you think this sofa sells for around $3,000.00. Looks great with it's nice lines, perfect for your modern home.

I do look over the items and included what I feel should be mention, but t will be signs of normal use that comes with age. I am not an expert on any of the items I have up for auction.
