Up for auction is a Piero Fornasetti 9" plate featuring the Commedia Dell'arte figure of Beppe Nappa. It is mostly in black & white with some hand colored touches . I do not know the pattern name but I will be putting up other plates from this series. I will combine shipping. The Fornasetti hand & paintbrush mark is over the top of the plate manufacturer's mark. Probably bought as blank plates and decorated by Fornasetti's workers. CONDITION: No chips or cracks but the plate does have some crazing. A few stray paint smudges under the glaze and some of the printing skipped in places. One tiny but noticable paint flake on his hat. Almost no knife marks so they probably have always been used for decoration. Sold As Is. A great addition to your Fornasetti or Commedia Dell'Atre collection. Please e-mail with any questions.
