When it comes to charm bracelets, which are a special favorite of mine, I think that pieces with zodiac charms are among the most fun examples! The vintage Deco piece offered here signed by Fosi, a listed early silversmith about whom not much is known, is a rare find - jewelry bearing this signature don't come up very often but the few pendants and brooches I have had in the past were all of good quality and interesting, more mod design. The bracelet at hand is representative of Fosi's work with its highly stylized zodiac figures deeply oxidized, coming through carefully cut silver overlay. The chain is substantial as well and the patina to die for. A fantastic gift idea for the upcoming holiday season - you don't even have to know the recipient's birthday... If you are a lover of charm bracelets as I am, please ! SIZE/WEIGHT: 7 1/4" long (wearable) by 5/16" wide (for the chain); charms are 3/4" in diameter and will add a 1 1/8" drop to the bracelet; 58.3 grams HALLMARKS/DATE: "FOSI" as well as "PLATA 925" and "????
