NEOVENATOR Possibly the UK's biggest killer dinosaur. It once roamed the areas of Southern England around 120 million years ago, preying on the herds of Iguanodon and also, I would imagine, the numerous long necked sauropods that were around at this time. It is related to the T-Rex busting Carcharodontosaurus. KILLER RAPTOR An AFRICAN Dromaeosaur THIS IS A GENUINE FOSSIL DINOSAUR TOOTH Initial Finds: The first Dromaeosaurid remains described were those of dromaeosaurus running reptile albertensis, which was discovered near the Red Deer River by Barnum Brown in 1914. It was another 50 years before more material was found that could put these dinosaurs in to their own context and group, as some had labelled them initially as Carnosaurs and others as slender running Coelurosaurs. Not until 1964 did things improve following the discovery by Professor J. Ostrom and Grant Meyer of more bones in North Montana. This new species was labelled Deinonychus - terrible claw. This proved to show that Dromaeosuars showed similarities with both carosaurs and coelurosaurs.
