This is a mammoth tooth not a mastodon. I thought they were the same. Mammoths were grazers with crowned teeth and mastodons were browsers with nipple teeth. This tooth has a shiney protective coat. It was found by fishing nets from the the North Sea.It weighs 1 pound 10 oz. and is 4 3/4 long, 2 1/2 thick and 4 in. high. You never know what you will find on my site. I have been collecting for over 40 years, but I am not an expert on anything. Please judge for your self. If I know an item is a reproduction, I will list it as so. PAYPAL AND MONEY ORDERS ONLY. USA SALES ONLY. I will combine shipping when possible. Registered shipping and handeling to Canada would cost $35.00-$40.00. This is a mammoth tooth not a mastodon. I thought they were the same.
