Sometimes, a couple of photographs are enough to describe everything perfectly. as shown is the complete upper portion of a beaver skull from the world-famousRiver Terrace Deposits at Bonner Spring, Kansas, partially mineralized and stained byage a gorgeous chocolate brown color. It looks as if it were carved of dark burnishedwood. This museum-quality specimen dates from the Pleistocene (Rancholebrean), which makes it about 10,000 years old. It still has its incisors, however, the rest of its teeth are gone. I will very carefullywrap and ship this partially mineralized specimen anyw within the United States or Canada for $5.95, which includes insurance.
