This auction is for a FOSTEX E-16 machine with rolling stand and some accessories. I purchased this unit on Ebay to transfer my 16 track analog tape to the computer, now that I am done transferring the tape, I no longer need this unit. When I first started using this unit I had problems, so I took this machine to "Audio Rehab" in Burbank, California to have it checked. The unit was adjusted and thoroughly cleaned, so I was then able to transfer the entire 16 track tape to the computer without any problems. The toggle switch on the back of the unit, used to change play speeds, has also been replaced (the old switch was falling apart) with a brand new toggle switch (see pictures). I also recorded on track one to see if the unit recorded and it worked fine for me. Also, this unit comes with a mounting rack with wheels, user's manual, and a few accessories. Please refer to the pictures for everything that comes with this unit. The only problem I had was with the "remote control" accessory, which does NOT work 100%. The "play" and "rewind" functions on the remote work, but the light for "track 16" on the remote stays lit, even when you press the button for track 16. It may be an easy fix, but unfortunately I don't know how to repair units like this. Also, the remote has some kind of tape on it from the previous owner, I don't know why. read more
