I am selling a huge lot of old Fostoria American that belonged to my Grandmother, born June 30, 1900. SEE MY OTHER ITEMS FOR THE REST OF THE SET. History of these crystal dishes, to those interested: these 6 mint condition champagne glasses (or tall, stemmed sherbet/sorbet glasses) belonged to my Grandmother, Lottie Sefcik, pure Czeckosloviakian woman born June 30, 1900. She was born and raised in a Czeck community in Snook, Texas, speaking only Czeck until she went to first grade w they made her suddenly speak only English. She later moved to Taylor, Texas, w she met my Granddad John Allen Sefcik, and finally ended up in Austin, Texas. We'd have our fruit coctail, and/or our sherbet or ice cream desserts in these tall stemmed 'champagne' glasses, with our holiday dinners. My Grandmother later passed these pieces on to my mother, Joyce Sefcik-Blaney, and my mother passed them along to me. Over the many decades, they have been very gently used (maybe once per year at the most) and treated with utmost care and love. They are filled with rich memories and I would hope the buyer would respect their history and perhaps pass down this history to their own loved ones. Tfore I am including a picture of my grandmother who has cared for this lovely set, and of my mother Joyce, as well and her sister Doris. See my other auctions listed on
