First, please DO NOT USE eBay's CHECKOUT . DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY INVOICES YOU GET THAT ARE DIRECTLY GENERATED BY eBAY - I personally will send the winner a detailed email with total amount due, including shipping and insurance after the auction.
Please read the item description and payment/shipping instructions thoroughly prior to bidding. If you have any questions on an item, or feel you need any information I may have missed that is important to you, please ask before bidding. By bidding, you agree to all the terms given. For sale is a gorgeous bowl and plate set. I found this pattern listed in Bill Edwards book on carnival glass. Fostoria made several lines of this acid-etched, lightly-iridized tableware, and the pattern name shown in the carnival book is Brocaded Daffodils. As well as being collected by Fostoria collectors, these lines are considered to be carnival glass because of their iridescence and because they fall into the latter part of the carnival glass time frame. The color is a beautiful rosy pink, the design acid-etched and containing daffodils, long, wispy, flowing leaves and little star-like decorations. The iridescence is light and shimmers in tones of pink, green and blue. I show a closeup of the center of the piece so you can get a better look at the detail in the pattern. The edges are trimmed in gold. Both pieces are in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, or other damage. The only wear on the gold is on the two tips of one of the plate's handles, and that is very small. The bowl measures 10 inches across the handles. The plate measures 12 inches across the handles. Winning bidder to pay all charges concerning shipping. Insurance is required. I do charge a fee for the bubble wrap and peanuts I use, but just to cover their cost. This amount will be noted in the shipping cost emailed to you. PLEASE NOTE REGARDING SHIPPING: Since the new USPS rates went into effect, the price to ship anything that is in a box greater than one cubic foot has increased dramatically. In those cases, the P.O. calculates postage using "dimensional weight". If you are bidding on a group of items in one auction, or win several auctions and want to have them combined into one package (that's totally fine with me) keep in mind that the "dimensional weight" factor may apply, increasing the final shipping total. In such cases, I will quote both for what the Priority Mail shipping cost would be and also for the Parcel Post shipping cost. The greater amount over one cubic foot the package is, the greater the price difference (and savings) Parcel Post provides. I just don't want anyone to have "shipping cost sticker shock" about rates over which I have no control. If you have any questions about this, please ask them before bidding and I will gladly get back to you. The preferred payment is a US Postal money order, or a cashier's check, which will allow the item to be shipped the day after payment is received. Any other form of payment (other types of money orders, personal/business checks, etc) will be deposited and item will be shipped when the payment clears, usually 10 business days on average. I do not take on-line forms of payment. Payment is to be made within 10 days of auction's close. Any returns must meet the following requirements: Thank you for bidding!
