For Your Bidding Pleasure Every dinner is special when table settings are all sparkle and shine! It is easy to have this glamour when you harmonize china for color, silver for gleam and crystal for glitter. So be sure to select with all three in mind. Navarre, for instance, is one of many handlaid âe~Master-Etchingsâe(tm). You will love each stemsâe(tm) bubble-thin bowl, its delicate decoration and sinuously curvy stemsâe¦. (Inspired by an original Fostoria Glass Company Advertisement) Tonight I am separately listing: FOUR, TALL, WATER GOBLETS; FOUR, FOOTED, TEA GOBLETS; A SET OF FOUR, LUNCHEON PLATES AND THREE, TALL, SAUCER CHAMPAGNES from the FOSTORIA GLASS COMPANY'S âe~NAVARREâe(tm) LINE (1936/37-1982). These were wedding gifts I received in 1978. The stems HAVE NEVER BEEN USED, only displayed, and the plates were used once as cake plates for my 25 th Wedding Anniversary. Please take time to check them all out, as I will gladly combine packaging on at least two of the Navarre lots to help you save on shipping. I will happily ship WORLDWIDE! I ALWAYS REFUND ANY CALCULATED POSTAGE QUOTED BELOW THAT IS UNUSED! Up for auction is MY LOT OF FOUR, TALL, WATER GOBLETS in the NAVARRE PATTERN. (All my stems are quality, signed pieces and carry the name, âe~Fostoria,âe(tm) acid etched to the underside of each base.) The FOSTORIA GLASS COMPANY produced this elegant, Depression Era, etched-patterned crystal from circa 1936/37 and continued with itâe(tm)s production, off and on, through the Winter of 1982. Navarre is recognized as one of the top 3 selling etched patterns of all time by any maker, and the âe~Crown Jewelâe(tm) of Fostoriaâe(tm)s etched lines. (Source: Gene Florence's ELEGANT GLASSWARE of the DEPRESSION ERA, 9th Ed., pp. 135-136) Each water goblet measures 7 3/4" in height, 3 1/2" in diameter across the rim of the bowl and 3" in diameter across the base. Each stem holds 10 ounces, or 1 1/4 cup, when filled to the very top. NAVARRE is found on Fostoria's finest crystal bowls and bases, with a three or four-lined, molded stem. The water gobletsâe(tm) bowls are done in a block optic design for that added sparkle. Terrific, vertical 'panels' continue around the entire bowl. The bowl is gently flared to the rim. The crystal bowl is joined to the molded stem with a thick, flower-petalled wafer. The top of the stem displays vertical, elongated petals with dew drops, or beads, perfect placed down the center of each petal. A gadrooned, or âe~pie crustâe(tm), band separates the elongated petals from short, elongated petals, each petal having two, tiny, dew drops, or beads, centered perfectly. The base is joined directly to the stem without a wafer. The base is round in shape with a center that is thicker and solid in design, I am certain, for practical reasons. (see close-up pic below). NAVARRE is an acid etched pattern that is found to the outside of the crystal bowl only. The base is without design. Large, bulbous and petite, 6-petalled flowers, in full bloom and early bud, are found along enchanting, scrolled embellishments and gracefully twisting vines ~ a truly gorgeous and enduring pattern with the most perfect, crystal clear brilliance guaranteed to make a statement of distinct elegance every time. This SET OF FOUR, WATER GOBLETS is in PRISTINE, NEVER USED CONDITION, and it will arrive to you with no chips or nicks, no cracks, no discoloration and no repairs ever done on it. They have no cabinet wear to the underside of base. I have just hand washed and hand dried each stem to arrive to you immaculately clean with a cherishable sparkle, ready for display or use, as you so wish!
