The green barrel of this 1949 vintage fountain pen is stamped - Le Superstyl e Bayard. It is stamped - 751 - near the end of the barrel. The nib is stamped with the crossed nib logo and - P F 18ct 50. It also has a very clear French Eagle's Head 18ct gold quality hallmark. The nib is fine, flexible and smooth. It has a lever filling mechanism. There are scratches and two gouges commensurate with age and use. There are three splits running from the rim of the cap up to the first band. They do not compromise the cap's screw thread. Length with the cap on 127mm. Barrel diameter 11.7mm. (25.4mm = 1 inch) Dimensions are approximate. A collectable fountain pen that is not in working order simply because the ink sac has disintegrated and needs replacing. The pressure bar is still inside the pen.
