This item is a bit of breweriana history, that is fastly becoming a scarce find at auction. This is a wall mount, bottle opener. Circa 1950's to 1975. Material is cast iron. Design is of a woman, with four eyes. This design of the four eyed woman is somewhat of a scarce find. Most commonly found, at auction, would be the four eyed man. ( please see my other listings ) Has she had too much to drink? Or has she reached her limit with the hubby and kids!!! Not only does this item hold a spot in breweriana history, it also has its stamp on the music industry as well. In 1971, Pink Floyd, introduced its american release of the album Relics. Some of the american released albums have a picture of "Old Four Eyes" (the man), and some have a picture of the Four Eyed woman. Please see my other item's for a chance to own both the Four Eyed woman, and Old Four Eye's. The paint is original, and t are some nicks, however they just give the piece a great patina. The colors are salmon, red, white, black, and gold. The opener measures 4" from the chin to the top of the head, and just over 3&3/4"'s from ear to ear. Total weight is just over 8oz. T is also a stamp just behind the teeth. Its kind of hard to make out, but it looks like 425. It is viewable in the pictures. The opener mounts to the wall via the two holes in her gold earrings.
