FOUR GENUINE FULL SIZE 1939-1945 WW2 MEDALS Star, Burma Star, Defence & War The Star Three equal stripes of dark blue, red and light blue symbolising the Royal and Merchant Navies, The Army and the Royal Air Force. Awarded for service in the Second World War between 3rd September 1939 - 2nd September 1945 The Burma Star Red central strip with dark blue, orange, dark blue edge strip. The orange symbolises the sun and the red the british and commonwealth forces. Awarded for service in World War II in the Burma Campaign between 11th December 1941 - 2nd September 1945 The Defence Medal Green with wide central orange strips and two narrow black strips. The green represents our green land and the orange the flames of enemy attacks. The black strips commemorte the black out. Awarded to service personal and many civilian organisations for three years service in non operational areas subject to air attacks or close threatened. Also awarded for one years overseas service. War Medal Red, white and blue stripes symbolises the union flag.
