FOUR small, unique lithographs in Buffet's classic style, NEW YORK, were printed by Fernand Mourlot, Paris, for the survey of the graphic work of Bernard Buffet (1928-1999) "Lithographs 1952-1966" , published by Tudor Publishing, New York, c.1967. While this collection is known for its 11 original lithographs executed by Buffet for this publication, the 66 smaller prints of which these number, reproductions of his earlier works, are equally stunning. Each is printed by Mourlot in the same colors as the original on a fine art paper, vélin Acropole. The overall sheet size measures 9.75 x 12.5 inches with the image area varying, but being approximately 7x9 inches. These small jewels deserve to be collected for their beautiful ink coverage and print quality alone and represent an affordable and desirable way to own a work by the legendary mid-century modern artist. Prints are in very good condition with a small amount of text on the verso, as issued. These prints are not signed. You can because items can be returned within seven days if they are not as represented as long as the return is in the same conditioned as shipped.
