The Winner of this Auction will receive this Friedberg Number 2306 Series 1935-A $1 North African Silver Certificate. This was a World War II Emergency Issue note.It bears the serial number C 61598557 C, which had a print run of 2 Million notes. It would make an excellent addition to any North African Block or Type Collection.The Note has been PCGS Graded a Very Fine 25-Apparent, so please use the Photos to Assess.To Fully Disclose--the Apparent Grade was given due to Small Rust Stains. One that is visible is on the Front, Left Margin Edge below the Serial Number, also visible on the Reverse.As it is almost 80 years old, it is tough to find this Type of Note with out blemishes. We are happy we had it professionally graded, so you can know for sure what you are bidding, and possibly winning.We too have been stung by winning an auction, only to find out when the note arrives, there is some issue never disclosed.This is a Solid Note. One to be Proud of Owning, as We Are. It hurts us to let it go. The Bottom Line--It is a Wonderful Type Note to be the steward of, capable of showing the younger generations a Piece of American History. Some people may not be impressed with this note not being graded high enough. Fools they are. We personally, as with our other Emergency Issues, we know this note has character.
