Offered in this 99cent Opening Bid-No Reserve Auction is this Friedberg # 40, Series of 1923 $ 1 Large Size, Red Seal Legal Tender Note with the Serial Number A 47205525 B. The note bears the signatures of Speelman/White, and for those that it matters; Front Plate # A 204--Back Plate # 549.This note is circulated. That being said, based upon the photos, please judge the quality/condition of the note for yourself. Know we believe in full disclosure, and try to be as transparent as possible in our descriptions.In our opinion, the only major characteristic of the note's wear is the Tri-Folding. This note looks as if it was Tri-Folded & then Put Away for a Very Long Time. Though we do not believe the photos capture this, the Paper is still Quite White (especially the obverse), and the Red Ink is STRIKING. Please note that, in our opinion, the Tri-Folding is not severe enough to undermine the integrity of either the Portrait or the Red Ink on the Obverse. Also, note that on the Reverse, there is light staining at the creases of the Tri-Folding, but again, not enough to detract from the Sharp Inking. This staining is most noticeable on the Left Side Crease of the Reverse. There are no tears or pinholes present. The corners are still strong (see photos).
