This is a lovely print of the Sistine Madonna by the Italian artist Raphael. The paper tag (which is torn) on the back shows the name of the painting and that the original is in the Dresden Gallery. It measures 12 1/2" wide and 15 1/2" high. T is glass covering the print. The back is covered with cardboard and has a wire for hanging. Most of the original dustcover is gone. The frame is wood with a pretty design. The print shows the Madonna and Jesus with two cherubs looking up at them. The cherubs are seen in many prints by themselves. On one side of the Madonna is Saint Sixtus and on the other side is Saint Barbara. The artist lived from 1483-1520 and painted the original in 1513. I don't see any stains or tears on the print. T is a one inch surface scratch on the glass that I just noticed but couldn't get it to show up in a photo. The frame has just a few light scratches.
