The very helpful people at the Framus website have dated this guitar to February 1972.
Solid top, very light satin finish - in other words not coated in tone killing varnish!
The first four pictures are taken alternately without and with flash to give an idea of the colour and finish.
As far as I can tell the woods used are solid spruce top, mahogany back, sides and neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
Noticeable arched back (like many other Framus models). Plain black edging. Good quality machine heads with metal rollers.
Zero fret and fret markers on the side of the neck at 3/5/7/9/12. Classical style bridge with groove for ball ended strings.
Fingerboard width at nut is a generous 48mm with a string spacing of 40mm. String spacing at the bridge is 56mm.
Scale length of 627mm. Upper bout width of 295mm, lower bout width of 375mm, body depth of 90mm.
Very good condition except for two small, repaired, dings to the top and one to the headstock.
A few marks elsewhere do not detract from what is a remarkably well preserved 38 year old instrument.
Virtually no fret wear. The neck is not straight (like a classical guitar) but shows some relief like a steel strung guitar.
Currently strung with Thomastik S Series Steel strings for classical guitar which give an interesting sound for fingerpicking.
I have used conventional classical strings on the guitar to good effect as well.
Plays well with quite good intonation and a 12th fret action of about 4.5 mm for the sixth string and a tad less for the first string.
This is correct for a classical guitar but there is scope to reduce the height of the saddle and/or the bridge.
The sound is well balanced with a particularly impressive bass response (no doubt due to the arched back).
Collection welcome (in which case cash only and obviously no p&p charges) otherwise bank transfer, cheque or PayPal.
Despatch if necessary will be by tracked and signed for courier, 1-2 day delivery.
The guitar's strings will be detuned, it will be wrapped in many layers of bubblewrap and packed in a guitar shipping box.
A good quality, used, classical guitar size hardcase will be available for an extra £40 to the winning bidder.
Please let me know at the end of the auction if you would like this and I will add it to the invoice.

UK sale only. Zero feedback bidders are welcome (we all had to start at 0),
