Up for sale is my 2006 rare version of a Framus Diablo Pro. It has an ash body with a custom thick maple cap (the standard has an all Ash body), in a strat style with contours. The neck is highly flamed maple with an Ebony fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets (jumbo wide not too tall). Has a Framus Wilkinson modern 2 point trem and all Seyomur Duncan pickups. A cool rails in the neck, a vintage staggered in the middle and a JB humbucker in the bridge, both cool rails and JB are coil tapped, middle position of 5 way switch gives neck/bridge combined for some great tele like tones, position two and four give respective Strat like tones, position one, the neck pick up provides rich tones and good sustain and position five, the bridge pick up, can deliver cutting highs again with good sustain. A real pro class instrument with terrific tones and good sustain. Apparently these guitars are now only available via the framus custom shop at quite a considerable cost, check out the Framus website for details.I recently had the tuners replaced with Grover Roto-Grip locking machines but the original non-locking tuners are also included in the sale, should the buyer want to revert to them, you will see from the photograph that the original fixing holes are still evident. The tremolo mechanism has been blocked but would be fully operational if removed. read more
