France 1852 small envelope sent to Tarbolton, Scotland and franked with a right-hand marginal horizontal pair of the 40c orange of the first issue tied by the small numerals cancel no. 28, corresponding to the post office of Airvault (a better one), mixed margins on the stamp but otherwise extremely fine in all respects, utterly fresh and certainly very scarce, Ceres no. 5, cat. value €1,750 (~ $ 2,360).
