Rare 1908 Leap Year Calendar printed by Raphael Tuck & Sons and illustrated by artist Frances Brundage. Consists of four different panels printed on heavy cardboard stock with an inset illustration of a couple/lovers. Each panel has a calendar for three months. All have poems describing the different couples shown. Al panels use dialect relating to the country of origin of the couple. Panel One: African~American bride and groom. Captioned "The Honey-Mooning Couple", also captioned in Black dialect "De darkest clouds hab a silber linin". Panel Two: Irish Couple, she is holding a Valentine envelope. Captioned "Two Hearts That Beat As One". Also "First Chance and Last Chance! What A Chance!" Panel Three: Scottish Couple. He is wearing a Kilt and tartan scarf. Captioned: "Wha Wadna Be Happy!". Also "The Lassies Bonny Things! Are angels without wings." Panel Four: Dutch Couple. Wearing Dutch national costume with wooden shoes. Captioned: "Love Makes The World Go Round" Also "Schweet nottings und schweet sometings". Size: 7 1/2 x 12 1/4" Please note that I scanned each panel twice showing the top and bottom because my scanner is too small to do the entire page in one scan. I removed the original red string holding the calendar together so that the pages would not be damaged. I was able to re tie it the way it was originally. Also please
