Up for auction is an 8 piece place setting of Franciscan Masterpiece China in the Platina pattern. It is ivory with silver trim, having a swirl rim. It was made by Gladding McBean & Co. It has been stored away in special storage bags with sponge liners to prevent from scratching each other They are in perfect condition, just as if they just came from the store. even though they were manufactured between 1959 and 1981. There are several serving pieces which include a 7 1/2" round serving bowl, 13 1/2" oval meat platter, 5 1/2 x 3" gravy boat with attached bottom plate, 4 x 3 1/2" covered sugar bowl and 4 x 4 1/2" creamer (from spout to handle). There is the following in the place setting.10 1/2" (8) dinner plates8" (8) dessert plate6" (8) bread & butte plates6" (8) saucers2 1/2"x 3 1/2" (8) cupsRest assured this is a wonderful set of lovely dishes.
