Gladding McBean / Franciscan Coronado Pattern ~ Sunny Yellow Crescent Salad / Side Plate ~ Excellent Vintage condition ~ no cracks, chips, or crazing. Entire rim feels smooth to the touch. I believe this to be the GLOSS. I have not handled 'matte' before, but in comparing multiple pictures online, I am pretty convinced this is gloss. Will pay for return shipping if it is not. There is a mark under the glaze on the body of the plate. Most likely an un-popped "glaze pop" . These were handmade ( as early as 1934 I believe) so variations do occur. This was part of the manufacturing process.. not damage. but wanted to note such. Still , pretty darn good for a possible 80 year old :-) I should look this good at 80 ! Also just noticed in the sun, that there is a little wear to the "ribs / swirls - which would make sense as the ribs are raised on the surface and would take wear.. Just reduced price to reflect. This is such a smart side plate.. makes so much sense at a table setting. They need to bring this back in tabletop design! Surprised Martha has not co-opted this design.
