Signed on the base, Matranga. 11" high. 9" at it's widest point. No chips or cracks.Biography from Born and raised in Alhambra, Matranga graduated from Pasadena City College (1953). Then, after serving as an illustrator in the U.S. Army, he earned a B.F.A (1957) and an M.F.A. (1960) from California State University, Los Angeles. He then did advanced work in ceramics at the University of Southern California. k 1963, he opened a ceramics studio in Redondo Beach. He taught art and ceramics for 20 years.
