Here is an absolutely beautiful Franka Solida llle type 2 6x6 folding rangefinder camera. This is the last of the Franka Solidas, with the rangefinder and viewfinder in the same window. The camera has been completely CLA'd in a proper and professional manner. The lens is flawless, without marks or dust! It was cleaned when the shutter was overhauled- (might be some dust by now, but I cannot see any). The shutter is a late Prontor SVS with modern shutter speeds! and full ! All speeds are accurate/within tolerances. The self timer works. The leather bellows are great, supple and no leaks- really nice. The rangefinder has been completely dis-assembled, cleaned and lubed, and put in perfect alignment. The view is crystal clear- no haze, dust. This camera has had the lens, rangefinder and film plane put into perfect alignment- so the lens is sharp where focused. The rangefinder is un-coupled, meaning you focus and then set the distance on the lens. The Franka has the largest focus distance lettering of any folder I have had, easy to see, easy to set, and accurate! This scale is in feet for us Americans. There is an easy loading system, with fold out film holders, a clever system that requires no force to open or use. The case is in great shape with blue velvet inside and strong straps.
