Klein, a Limited edition, one of the COLLECTED STORIES OF THE WORLD'S GREATEST WRITERS series, published in 1985. Bound in a Most Handsome hunter green Moroccan cowhide, the book has taupe French moire silk endleaves, hubbed spine, satin bookmarker, 22 kt. gold gilding on three edges---in FINE condition. Mark Twain, pseudonym for SAMUEL LANGHORNE CLEMENS, lived from 1835-1910. Twain was a journeyman printer in the East, a riverboat pilot on the MISSISSIPPI RIVER, and a Western explorer. He married Olivia Langdon, daughter of a wealthy NEW YORK family; he fatd three daughters and went on a five-year lecture tour of the world, dying in the year of HALEY'S COMET.
