Franklin Library FULL leather top-of-the-line edition of William Shakespeare's "The Plays and Sonnets of William Shakespeare," Edited by William George Clarke and William Aldis Wright with the Illustrations by William Oakes, Volumes 1, one of the 25th ANNIVERARY OF THE GREAT BOOKS OF THE WESTERN WORLD series, published in 1978. Bound in a Most Handsome scarlet red Moroccan cowhide, the book has burgundy French moire silk end leaves, hubbed spine, satin book marker, 22 kt. gold gilding on three edges---in near FINE condition----except for an attached bookplate. William Shakespeare, who lived from 1564-1616, was born in STRATFORD, ENGLAND, married Anne Hathway, fatd three children, was baptized and buried in the floor of Holy Trinity Church in Stratford, on the banks on the Avon River.
